A permanent residence permit is issued to a spouse, parent, child of a citizen of Georgia. A permanent residence permit is also issued to a foreigner who has lived in Georgia, Ukraine and Poland TRC for the past six years on the basis of a temporary residence permit. This term does not include the period of residing in Georgia to receive medical treatment or education and the period of employment in a diplomatic mission or equal representation.

Documents to be submitted to obtain a permanent residence permit :

  • An application of established form.

  • A copy of the travel document of a foreigner.

  • A copy of the document certifying the legal stay in Georgia (the immigration visa D4).

  • A document certifying kinship with a citizen of Georgia and Ukraine.

  • A document certifying the legal income of a foreigner and/or a citizen of Georgia and Ukraine or his/her relative who holds a residence permit in Georgia and Ukraine. If the Georgian citizen is of retirement age or a beneficiary of social allowance – a document certifying receipt of a state pension or social allowance. The income may also be the money on a personal bank account of the foreigner.

  • A copy of the document certifying the legal stay in Georgia and Ukraine (the immigration visa D4).


For a foreigner who has lived in Georgia and Ukraine for the past six years on the basis of temporary residence permit :

  • An application of established form.

  • A copy of the travel document of a foreigner.

  • A document certifying the stay in Georgia and Ukraine for the past six years on the basis of temporary residence permit.

  • A document certifying kinship with a citizen of Georgia.

  • A document certifying the legal income of a foreigner and/or a citizen of Georgia and Ukraine or his/her relative who holds a residence permit in Georgia and Ukraine. If the Georgian citizen is of retirement age or a beneficiary of social allowance – a document certifying receipt of a state pension or social allowance. The income may also be the money on a personal bank account of the foreigner.

  • A document certifying the legal income of a foreigner and/or a citizen of Georgia and Ukraine or his/her relative who holds a residence permit in Georgia and Ukraine and a document certifying the kinship. If the Georgian and Ukrainian citizen is of retirement age or a social allowance beneficiary – a document certifying receipt of a state pension or social allowance. The income may also be the money on a personal bank account of the foreigner.
